Bring game, not blame, as school year starts

The Star Telegram ran an editorial on Sunday about supporting our students.  Ms. Young points out that at the recent Olympics, athletes acknowledged those that supported them when they succeeded, but did not seek to place blame on others when they did not win.  She then goes on to compare our schools to Olympic teams.  We each play a role in our student's future success.  "Don't let this year's Olympics go by without letting yourself be caught up and held in the spirit. Take the feeling and support someone on the team to win the gold."

Garden

Last spring, Alcon and Real School Gardens partnered to revive the garden here at North Hi Mount.  They did a beautiful job and the PTO would like to thank the members of the North Hi Mount Neighborhood Association that watered the garden throughout the summer to ensure that the plants would still be alive when students return this school year.
